Jessie T is a bright, new, young, talented, artist/song-writer that has jumped into the music industry. Her natural vibrato, controlled vocals and signature style is evident to all audiences. With her FACTOR funded first album being released early 2016, she’ll be an artist you certainly want to look out for. Jessie’s captured awards such as People’s Choice and Genesis Music Awards in Kingston, first place in the KIX 106.7 (2012) songwriting competition in Kitchener, second place in the Aurora Hoedown Showdown (2013)  and placed in several other vocal/songwriting competitions in Southern Ontario.
Recently, Jessie has been expanding her fan base playing venues in and around the Kingston and Kitchener/Waterloo area. She not only has performed weekly gigs at Molly Blooms in Waterloo and Zappa’s Lounge in downtown Kingston, but has also most opened/ shared the stage with John Landry, Ambush, the Abram Brothers and Tonya Kennedy. Jessie knew from the young age of 5 that a music was something she would pursue; She has been vocally trained in many different genres, most of which are country and pop based but also touching on opera and jazz stylings. Jessie has been fortunate enough to learn, write and work with many of Canada’s top industry professionals and musicians (eg: John Landry, Jamie Warren, J.K Gully, Steve Hogg, Shane Guse and Carrie Lynn DeMaeyer). To date, she has received four Canadian Federal grants from FACTOR. With the recent approval of the FACTOR ‘Juried Sound Recording’ Grant, her first album being produced by J. Richard Hutt at Cedartree Recording Studio will be released in spring 2016.
